Into the Unknown is a celebration of courage—not the absence of fear, but the quiet strength to take the next step anyway. Inspired by the moment in Beauty and the Beast when Belle walks alone through the forest towards the Beast's castle—not knowing what lies ahead—the painting captures the instant where instinct becomes stronger than hesitation.

Sometimes, the path ahead is uncertain. We don't know what lies beyond it or how the story will unfold. Yet there are moments when protecting the people we love, taking the leap, or simply choosing to show up becomes more important than the fear that stands before us.

For me, this painting is a reminder of those moments. A reminder that courage isn't always loud. Sometimes, it is simply the decision to take the next step.

Why is it Special?

Using a combination of acrylic painting techniques and my signature 3D Acrylic Textures technique, layers of heavy-bodied acrylic paint are carefully built by hand to create a sculptural surface that invites the viewer to experience the painting not only visually, but physically through its depth and texture.

Rather than simply depicting a moment from a story, the textured surface gives the scene a greater sense of presence—almost as though that single act of courage has been preserved in paint. Every raised detail is created entirely by hand, ensuring that no two works could ever be recreated in exactly the same way.

While inspired by a beloved fairy tale, the emotion it represents is deeply universal. Each of us has faced moments where instinct outweighed certainty, where courage quietly overcame fear. It is that feeling that this painting seeks to preserve.
