The Story

Where flowers, light and celebration come together.

The Padma Diya takes its cue from the lotus — a timeless symbol of light, beauty and renewal. Each diya begins with a real flower, whose delicate form is captured through my Botanical Casting technique and translated into plaster. I then hand-paint each piece with layers of watercolour, bringing out the petals with soft colour and a subtle shimmer.

Each Padma Diya carries the impression of a different flower — Madhumalti, Juhi, Mogra or Hamelia — giving every variation its own character. Place them on a festive table, in your puja space or in a quiet corner at home, and let their sculptural petals catch the glow of Diwali.

Materials & Dimensions

Material: Plaster of Paris

Finish / technique: Botanical Casting using real flowers; hand-painted with watercolours and finished with a subtle shimmer

What is included: Each diya comes with a battery-operated tealight

Handmade variation: Each piece is cast from a real botanical and finished by hand. Natural variations in the floral impression, texture, thickness and colour are part of what makes every piece unique.

Care

Battery-operated tealights are recommended to protect the painted finish and plaster surface. If using a flame, place the diya on a stable, heat-safe surface and never leave it unattended.

Clean gently with a soft, dry brush or feather duster.

Keep away from water and damp cloths, as Plaster of Paris is porous.

Handle with care, as each piece is delicate.

Slight variations from the images shown are natural to the handmade process.
