The Reflection Within

You can look at something the same way for years, and then one day, see it in a completely different light. Whether it's a person, a place, or even yourself, perspective has a remarkable way of changing everything.

The Reflection Within is inspired by the enchanted mirror from Beauty and the Beast—not simply as a magical object, but as a symbol of truth. The kind of truth that quietly asks us to look beyond appearances and question what we think we know.

Perspective is deeply personal. It begins where judgement ends and understanding begins. It asks us to look a little closer, to soften our certainty, and to allow space for another possibility. Because what we choose to see in the world is often a reflection of what already exists within us.

For me, these mirrors celebrate the perception that starts within. The quiet understanding that when we begin to see ourselves with greater compassion, curiosity and honesty, we naturally begin to see others differently too.

Sometimes nothing around us has changed. Only the lens through which we choose to see it.

The Reflection Within — Why is it Special?

Beginning with an ornate vintage wooden mirror, each piece is individually gilded using imitation gold leaf before being adorned with hand-sculpted roses created using my signature 3D Acrylic Textures technique. The combination of gilding, sculptural florals and reflective surface creates an artwork that sits somewhere between painting, sculpture and functional design.

Unlike a conventional mirror that simply reflects an image, these pieces are intended to invite reflection of another kind. The textured florals soften the ornate frame, while the gilded finish catches the light differently throughout the day, encouraging the artwork to reveal new details each time it is seen.

Designed to be both a functional object and an original work of art, each mirror becomes a quiet reminder that the most meaningful transformations often begin with the way we choose to see.

Care Instructions

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, particularly on the gold leaf and textured floral details.
